shareApparently it does actually work. In fact, it's just a plain old regular joystick sprayed with gold paint! (It wasn't solid gold obviously! :p).
There was one for sale on eBay a few months ago :)
No it dosent my boyfriend got one when he was on the show he says its just for show! 1994/1995

which is a shame really! Imagine going round yur friends house and pulling it out your bag toplay them at a game lol
I was on the series set in Hell (which ws ironically filmed in a Church) and they used the same Golden Joystick for each winner, reclaiming it back from them once the camera's stopped rolling!
Absolutely CLASSIC show and I really miss it now
How did you manage to actually get on the show? If they do a new series I'm there.
shareI was in the final series, the one set in heaven, as one of the angels in the background (there were only 20 of us, it was all blue screen lol) It was good fun, I did it as I used to go to Dominiks mums drama school! A lot of the kid contestants came from there too. Probably shouldnt say that!!Ah well! The joysticks, I am sure there were a few made, but they were just spraypainted normal ones in a box. Nothing exciting really!!
shareIt was just a Quickshot II spray-painted gold. If it had the wire connected you could probably use it still.
shareI'm sure the last series was not set in Heaven. I'm sure that was the last but one because he got kicked out of Heaven and went to Hell or something. That's how I know the Heaven one was not the last series.
I was never on the show but my brother always said that the joysticks were regular one spray-painted gold (he wasn't on either).
