Without a doubt

the worst film I have *EVER* seen...

Seems to be "Conan The Barbarian" rip-off more than a superhero movie.

"Superhero?" Thor, the god of Thunder is a figure from Norse mythology. And the Thor in this film isn't supposed to be the Norse God, but rather a barbarian named Thor. He has no mystical powers, just like Conan had no mystical powers. "Thor the Conqueror" is basically based in reality, which explains the lack of special effects and huge sets. And this movie's realistic approach is it's best asset.

well... it does have that misogynistic owl who transforms into and human and back. That's not really "reality" is it? Or maybe the whole thing is in Thor's head and he's just high on drugs for most of the film?

Mainly I think the reason to watch this movie is Maria Romano, who is just adorable in everything she's in. Unfortunately the editor didn't appear to like her very much and you practically never get to see her outside the master shots of her following Thor around like a lost puppy.

At least, unlike with CONQUEST, you can actually see what's going on here. Unfortunately the story is even blander and doesn't even have any good gore moments. The action is repetitive and dull and there's practically no story. CONQUEST had no story either and was also a chore to watch the first time through, but the stylish directing, weird cinematography, and bizarre over-the-top violence helped it grow on me a little over time.

Lucky you; "Thor the Conqueror" is actually one of the better, and more realistic barbarian films out there. Barbarians didn't live in huge castles filled with gold, but rather they lived off the land, and wore crude animal pelts, and rarely washed. And a movie doesn't have to have a large budget to be effective.
