Who do you think played Archer best

David Threlfall
Mick Ford

I preferred Threlfall as he is the better actor and played Archer as he was written

I think both did a great job, and I like them both.

However, I'm more drawn toward David Threfall's Archer.

I dunno, he just seems more endearing...more huggable.

I must say I really disagree with the posters above......Mick Ford was much better imo.

Although I like DT in almost everything he has done....just thought "his" Archer was more understated than Ford's.

Having said that 2 very good performances by both.

Am I going blind?

I don't see David Threlfall (or the character Archer) listed in the IMDb credits. I came to the page specifically because I thought I recognized the actor but couldn't quite place him.

Why the omission?

last 2 dvds: Scum (1979) & Luftslottet som sprängdes (2009)

his imdb name was changed to Davidson Knight
