Horrible!!

Thank God I didn't pay, I burned it...

I was curious cause the Wu Tang Clan, 'Da Mystery of Chessboxing'

The main guy is a blatant Jackie Chan ripoff, it had no real story, no background about the Cold Face Killer, just that a bunch of guys tried to plot his murder and now he's taking revenge on all of them. The main guy has skills, but I just looked at it as a poor man's Snake in Eagle's Shadow, Drunken Master, Fearless Hyena...all very similar...big disappointment

I agree that he is a Jackie Chan ripoff. However I think you are missing the point. Kung Fu movies are gimmicky entertainment. There is a lot of jumping on bandwagons and ripping off the flavor of the month.
Watching kung fu flicks requires a lot of suspension of disbelief. It's like watching old godzilla movies or old science fiction TV shows. You don't go in to pick nits. It's about cheap thrills.
That said. You can't deny the Ghost Faced Killer in this movie. The way he is just constantly moving, never resting always rolling, kicking, blocking or punching. Very visceral and quite good editing! The only thing similar I can think of is Tsui Hark's "Blade".

This is a classic of the genre along with "Master of the Flying Guillotine" and yes "Drunken Master".

PS I'd love to see a restored cut of this, and Fearless Hyena! People forget Jackie was the man back then before he started doing Supercop.
