Anybody think this is very underrated?

I'd easily give it a 7, 8 out of 10. Very nice little sci-fi movie that deserved more recognition than it got. Solid direction, too bad this guy hasn't made anything since.

I would agree some parts of this film inspire greatness I would give it a 7 or 8 out of ten too.

Well I'm not sure what u mean with underrated, this movie has been excepted rather well. If you're only talking about the rating on IMDB, then you've forgotten that IMDB ratings has nothing to do with a movies qualities.

That's interesting, where do we find objective ratings that mirrors the quality of any movie? :)

And no, it is not underrated. Lots of cliches in this movie. Not a very good merit for a director.

Val Kilmer looked liked he was on drugs, very slow moving. Liked the special effects though. This movie should have felt more claustrophobic and terrifying.

This movie had the best design-work I've seen since the original ALIEN!
I constantly marvel at the attention to detail!
Just beautifully done.

Absolutely underrated. Easily one of the besat sci fi movies out there.

IMDB's score of 5.2 seems very fitting to me.

I agree that it's underrated here on IMDB. It was way better than I was expecting. I'd watch this 100 more times before I'd watch the hunger games again. It's better than avatar. Kilmer was great as usual!

I gave it a 8... it's on my my list of best sci fi movies:

Its a 7. The fact such *beep* scifi films as "Equilibrium" have a higher rating is disconcerting.
