My opinion on the planned Mars "colonization" anyone agree?

I am sick of that bullcrap where those crazy scientists try to rationalize the insanity of sending people to Mars never to return to Earth because centuries ago explorers went to other parts of the world knowing they would never go home. IT is a TERRIBLE analogy because as rough as life was back then these explorers/colonists were still in what is termed in Star Trek a "class M" environment, they could go outside without a space suit and live in the environment without having to stay inside a "habitat" and worry about solar radiation (since without knowing it they were protected by the Earth's magnetic field and ozone layer). I am just fine with that analogy being used to send people to a Star Trekkian "class M" planet, that is something Mars is NOT. Another thing, explorers centuries ago got strong and tough having to fight one G of gravity and the much lower gravity of Mars is NOT healthy.

I am 100 percent FOR sending people to Mars and then bringing them back, I am also fine with a permanent BASE there as long as people can go back and forth to Earth, like the permanent bases we have in Antarctica for example.

I mean seriously, the moon landings were our greatest accomplishment as a species but is Buzz Aldrin STILL on the moon?? HELL NO.
