The way they shot that and the way it played out on screen was just weird to say the least.

I'm a little confused when Beat goes back around the corner and 2 seconds later we see him in the same position the little boy was in with the hentai trying to get his underwear off.

They don't really give any clues as to if that was meant as humor, shock value, or what. To me it looked like he was trying to get a bj from the guy who just tried to molest the kid and then he changes his mind. That or he was tormenting the desperate perverted guy after he beat him up.

I'm so confused...

Didn't look weird to me. But it looks like Beat wanted to know what he was going to do to the kid if he had done it.

That's the way I saw it. He wanted to know what the old man was going to do, then he beat him up after finding out.

Umm... actually, that's exactly what was going on, smart guy. Kikujiro was trying to get some money out of the guy before he left him beaten senseless.

How did that NOT look weird to you? It is supposed to look bizarre, and we're supposed to have a chuckle. I guess somehow the image portrayed during that scene is pretty commonplace for you though. And why would "Beat", as you so fondly refer to him as if he is your best buddy, pull down his pants and make the guy SHOW HIM what he was going to do to the boy??

Wow, way to muck that scene up, kid.

EDIT: Oh, and "kodack", please don't use your, I'm sure, extremely limited knowledge of Japanese in an attempt to look cool, or for whatever reason it is that people like you do that. You just come off as a tool.

How does that make sense? If he wanted to get some money out of the Scary Man, why not just beat him and take his wallet? That's how I saw it...

More creepy than that was the dream sequence with the Scary Man. Does anybody know what other films he stars in? He has a really emotive face.

I found the scene a little odd myself. I think Kikujiro knew what the old man was going to do. I think he needed proof before he could kick his butt.

I think it was just to punish the dude, like when a dog takes a crap on the carpet some owners rub the dogs face in it. He was like so what were u gonna do? Try it and see what happens when you do it to an adult, i will kick your ass.

The subtext is it was himself as a kid.
