Why haven't they released this show on dvd yet?

I don't know. I have been a fan since the show first aired, and have been waiting a good many years, almost stalkerish, for this to be released, but nothing yet as far as I can see. I'm so frusterated.

I think the only way this show would be released on dvd is if Hayden Christensen or AJ Cook won an award like an Oscar, Golden Globe, or an Emmy and/or skyrocketed into stardom. When Katherine Heigl won the Emmy for Grey's they re-released the Roswell dvds with her front and center, and with the success he had with Lost and getting some movie roles, a tv show that Matthew Fox did earlier in the decade, one I don't think anyone has even heard of, was released on dvd this year. If Hayden and AJ became the next Brad and Angelina (not hooking up but star power) the company who owns Higher Ground would probably release it as an attempt to make money.

I think the non-DVD release has more to do with studio stuff than anything else. Remember, this show originally aired on Fox Family, which became ABC Family channel. It was part of the Fox package that didn't make the transition over (and so only lasted one season).

I'm betting that the DVD rights are up for contention or something and that it would be a legal battle to put them out. That is usually what keeps a show from being out on DVD (that and interest--and I've seen a lot of interest in having this out).
