Anybody agree with me?

'Modern Marvels' is probably the best show I've ever seen. Problem is that none of my friends (I have a couple) never heard of this show (nor The History Channel). I think this show is underestimated and needs to be recongnized. The History Channel is one of the only shows I watch. Most other shows on TV are for brainless people. 'Modern Marvels' is a show that actually gets you thinking :) Along with very few others.

It is one of the few ways to watch television and not lose brain cells =)

I also agree. I even watch episodes I've already seen like regular
re-runs. I loved The mackinak bridge, the hoover dam and of course
engineering disasters. Great show.

I wouldn't say it's the best show ever, you'd have to really adore educational things and I tend to prefer comedies. But the show is amazing!

Totally agree. History Channel is always a safe bet for good shows. Modern Marvels is really fantastic. Great detail and info, especially the war and heavy equipment stuff.

Snakes. Why did it have to be snakes?

The old film/video footage and computer recreations are amazing. I LOVE this show and learn something with every single viewing!!

I simply fell in love with this show about 4 months ago when I first saw my first episode which was the one about torture devices, while flipping through the channels one night. Since then, I became hooked and now currently have my DVR to auto-record all the shows.

Whenever I'm channel-surfing and I come across this show, it mesmerizes me. I'm constantly saying, "Wow," and "I didn't know that," and sometimes a big, forceful, "Hmmmm!" with a chuckle.

The real "Marvel" of the title is the huge idea of how resourceful, inventive, imaginative and determined human beings can be. It's the best facet of humankind, the one that will truly endure.
