my favorite Jesus film

This is my favorite Jesus film of all time. to me it blows the Passion right out of the water. Jeremy Sisto is absolutely spellbinding as the Christ and Gary Oldman is truly amazing as Pilate. Honestly i thought Oldman would play Jesus at first but Sisto pulls off an amzing performance. the Crucifixtion scene is the most heart wrenching one i have ever seen. Jesus actually crying out as the nails pierce his flesh stayed with me long after the film was done. the Resurrection scene was also equally great. the most amazing tv film ever done in my honest opinion and truly faithful to what its presenting.

yes, you are right. MUCH better than the passion of the christ. I like this jesus much more, he laughed a lot. The jesus in the passion is just so serious, and after the resurrection he marches out of that grave with this look on his face, almost like a soldier wanting to get his revenge on the world. NOT the jesus i like to think he was.
Of course the passion only deals with Jesus' end so there wasn't a lot of room for laughter, but that is just the problem. As a movie character, you first have to invest in a character, getting to know him and liking him, otherwise you just don't care when something bad happens to that moviecharacter. And that is what wrong with the passion: you didn't build a relationship with the character, immediately all these bad things happen to him and you don't actually really really care, even if you tell yourself: this is jesus and you already know his backstory.
Nah, i hated passion of the christ
LOVED this movie

My favorite Jesus film too. Other films portray Jesus as too serious and pious when in fact he must have had charisma and charm to attract so many people to him. Living on Earth I would suppose he danced at weddings and laughed with friends. That doesn't take anything away from his divinity. Jeremy Sisto did a great job portraying Jesus.

Beans are evil. Bad, bad beans.
