animated version ?

i kinda remember a animated movie just like this that begins in a antiquity shop where the hero and the shopkeeper plays chess with a board that pawns just look likes the monkey king and other people that the hero gonna meet in the forbidden kingdom.

i remember that at the end, he confront a evil dragon with logical equations and beat it so he get back in his world, in the shop and the girl surely appears in the shop...

does somebody know what i'm talking about?
