TVO on Sundays...anyone remember?

This topic really only applies to those who lived in the TVOntario area.

Remember when on Sundays, TVO and the French version, TFO, switched places?
You were young, but old enough to understand that the first channel, channel 2, was TVO, but on Sunday afternoons, you wanted to watch TVO, turned to channel 2, and you were like "WTF?"

And you had to search up in the higher channels for the actual TVO!

I just remember this annoyed me. I still have dreams that one day I will be channel surfing in the higher ups and come across old TVO shows :)

Someone from the states just mentioned this show on their blog and I thought about French day on TVO. I also was annoyed by this. The only thing that made it okay was the short cartoons that they would usually play. The best one was the one were this guy was walking along a line and the "artist" would draw obstacles and the guy would get irritated, causing him to yell and scream! Great stuff.

i remember the switch.. never understood it.

But on French sundays they had cool European shows and cartoons.

I really, really hated Sundays when I was about 6 or 7...still always watched the shows and tried to understand what was going on.

Incidentally, this record's available in the foyer.

If you lived in the Ottawa-Carleton area, the switch went from Channel 2 to Channel 12... back when it was called "La Chaine Francaise".

Yeah that did suck-a s! Passe Patout and all them french shows(like some stupid abstract short of some toddler falling out of a building and landing on his butt and was ok) on Sunday on TVO(cable 2) and you'd have to turn to TFO on cable 8. It was'nt all that bad, just don't know why they had to do that every Sunday?
