The story of English

I have only seen a few of the programs, and would dearly like to see them all.
Can anyone help me obtain a low priced version of all the videos of this series?

I am a student and cannot afford the $99 price as of now.

The entire series on vhs is listed on amazon.com here for $100. There are nine one hour episodes in the mini-series.

Another poster on the other thread mentioned looking it up at your local public library if you are in the U.S. or Canada. It would be a lot less expensive to borrow it from there. It's listed in my regional library system as 5 vhs tapes with two episodes per tape on the first four tapes, and the nineth episode is on it's own tape. The videos have publish dates of 1986 and 1988.

Try your local library. They may not have it but I think chances are good that your library can get it on loan from another. I have been able to view many tapes and DVDs by getting them through interlibrary loans-(ILL) and our local library consortium.

I just checked our library consortium online, they have all the tapes, and not one is checked out. I can make a request online and have several of them in 3days or less (life is good).

Nobody checks out older documentaries much, especially tapes; it's like my own private documentary collection. =-)

Oh, I see you are out of the US; maybe my advice is still good though.
