I think that a law should be introduced to disallow newspapers from publishing on two consecutive days. Newspapers create a lot of waste. Television, radio and the internet provide essential information and entertainment. Newspapers are not as essential today as they were one hundred years ago.
In the end, we will find that the internet and all electrically based communications have an equally heavy footprint to newspapers. Let's not delude ourselves. Computers have upped our paper use several fold.

If we keep using the Interwebs, we will run out of bits. Peak Bits, just google it. After 2020 we will go back to manual typesetting and printing presses.
