That tornado was soooo fake looking! It was so cartoonish that I kept expecting the tasmanian devil from Looney Tunes to pop out of it. :D

This movie is 16 years old, the CGI, etc. was not as advanced as it is now. It was also a small part of the story so I suppose they did not want to spend a huge amount of the budget on it. That is what I always thought.
