well, i have to agree with you on the green day part. they piss me off so much about how they are so 'punk', and make a show about it. theyre sellouts, and even before they were nothing special. and for rancid, i love their music, and cant wait for the new album. i think they are on verge of 'selling out', but after all the years, and of breaking up operation ivy INSTEAD of selling out, i wont blame them if they do. they deserve the fame and money, unlike *beep* green day. NO BAND should label themselves punk openly and think they own that label and go to the point of making f-in garbage can speaches, AND excpect to be taken seriousy by peopel who enjoy punk. well thats my thoughts,

EXCUSE me, but Green Day being one of the best bands of all time, one of my favorites, i know for a fact they have only 3 members.
BillyJoe Armstrong sings and guitar
Mike Drnt plays guitar
and Tre Cool plays the drums
Unless they have added a new member in some time period i don't know about, they have 3 members.

They have a forth memeber for live shows only. Jason White doesn't record with them billie joe does all he guitar for the records.

PS: they have several other musicians that play with them during live shows also

And I love Green Day. To all the morons who hate them, at LEAST give them the respect they deserve. They've been in this business for almost 17 years, they've dealt with near break-ups, they've overshadowed their first successful album, and they've gone through a countless amount of ignorant "punk-rockers" (pathetic morons is more like it) who claim that they "blow"

The "Fourth Member" is actually Jason White, their Back up guitaist.

they do have a second guitarist called jason white but he only performs on some videos and when they play live and ps greenday redefined punk who gives a *beep* if green day are experimenting why dont you have a go at the foo fighters there a very good band and have gone comercial so why dont you slag of dave grohl exactly ??????

GREEN DAY ROCKS!!!! what are u talkin' about? they're not "sell-outs." thats like saying your not human anymore if you tell everybody you dont like pizza. they signed onto a major record label so that more people could enjoy their music. if they hadn't done that, we wouldn't have a lot of their music. there would be 1039/smoothed out slappy hours and kerplunk and maybe 1 or 2 other albums and thats like it.

on another note, it's kinda funny if you go the www.gohastings.com, search this movie, and it will say Billie Joe Armstrong's name. they spell it B-I-L-L-Y. HA HA!!

I have been a fan since American Idiot was released. I thought they sucked before I heard American Idiot. I ate my words. Now, these guys are my favorite band. I can't wait for their new cd to come out.
