Nope. Nobody at all.

The problem Affirmative Action is trying to fix is economic based, not race based.

Hey Ill tell you one thing, Civ 2, is one hell of a game, but the best strategy game of all time, is Europa Universalis II. Have you ever played/heard of that game? If you have played it tell me one game that beats it.

reply

No, I've never heard of that. Is it real-time, or turn based, or what?

Real time, but there is pause if you need it. Its really a grand epic of European(and some American) history starting near the end of the hundred years' war and going all the way to the Napoleonic Wars. Fight as Englishmen, Frenchmen, Spaniard, Turk, Austrian, Venetian, Genovese, you name it, and wage war, build an empire, conquer, trade, use the best part of the game its diplomacy system, and much much more. Civ 2 would easily be a 9 out of 10 to me, but EU 2 is right up there with Final Fantasy 7 and a handful of games that are my favorites. If you want to find out more about EU 2 go to paradox interactive, the game is a little old now so you cant find it in stores but you can download it from paradox interactives website. Trust me, this is a must for strategy fans.

reply

Also to continue the description, you could call EU 2 the best board game of all time, because the view of the world is kind of a like the view of a board game for say a game like Risk... except zoom into your nation, and you will see its more complex then a board game could ever be. England alone has about 10-15 provinces, not including your holdings in France and later on your colonies across the world. Anyways if you do download the game from Paradox Interactive's website, which is http://www.paradoxplaza.com/, dont look at EU 3 which is currently in development, its not the same game that EU and EU 2 were and it probably cant compare to either of its predecessors as far an enriching experience of how you follow or changed history. To add more to what Ive told you, there is a very cool historical, and random event system, that creates events that will shape your nation according to what you do for each event. Now the game is only available for PC, unlike Civ 2 that has its nice console counterpart, but still since you love Civ 2 im sure your an avid PC Gamer. In conclusion, i must say there is no experience like this game, especially if you like history, or love history like me. Also if youve never heard of Paradox Interactive, they have many other strategy games that are more well known and popular, like for instance Hearts of Iron, which simulates the history of World War 2. But as far strategy in a game, EU is where its at, and this post is probably getting long, so ill just say one more thing, DOWNLOAD EU 2! It does cost a small fee, but i think its only like 10 or 15 bucks, and well worth it.

Europa Universalis was one of the best games I ever played!! But then I discovered Medieval Total War which was similar (practically the same) but has the added bonus of actually being able to conduct your own battles. I love all those kinds of games! But none rocks more than civ!!

Civ II is special for a number of reasons: 1) it actually encourages users to customize it, 2) there are so many great (and people, I mean great) modpacks out there it is mind boggling and 3) every time I get busy with life and stop to check on civ, it's like I fall in love the game all over again. Now, don't get me wrong, I've played Civ 1, 3, and 4 but it's just not the same as Civ II. I think it is because there is just enough there to inspire your imagination and at the same time the interface isn't too hard to learn. You know what to expect, yet so many times the unexpected happens. Civ II forever.

Best to all.

Hey guys,
I'm a massive civ 2 fan, but would really like to play multiplayer. What add on packs do I need?
Cheers

Europa Universalis rocks! But my copy won't work on my PC anymore, and I don't know why. *sobs*. I loved civilisation 2, but I started playing it when I was eight years old and I never actually learnt the rules or anything, so I never won the game! I would just press enter a lot and see what happens. I love the advisors! Civilisation 4 rules out of all computer games I've ever played though - even Medieval Total War and the sequels /expansion packs. Civ 4 is da best!

EU2 is probably the single best game I have ever played. Civ 2 is great, but nothing beats EU2.

I'm kinda pissed now btw. A few hours ago I was playing EU2 and my freaking computer crashed after I hadn't saved the game for like at least half an hour, maybe a whole hour. I was in the middle of kicking some English butt in an epic war too (playing as Spain).
