An unexpected but much-appreciated 'shout-out' to the series

. . . happened in the episode 'Live Wire Act' (aired on 3/3/16) of NBC-Universal's "Shades of Blue" w/ Jennifer Lopez and Ray Liotta.

Five minutes into the episode Liotta's character is getting drunk hours after the funeral of a NYPD colleague. As the camera pans across the tombstone near him it clearly reads "MARITZA CRUZ / January 16, 1976 - May 26, 2005" with a police shield and St. Michael design above the name.

I imagine this was just a coincidental re-use of the prop from "Third Watch"'s final episode, but slightly unusual since 'TW' was a Warner Brothers production.
