WAAAY too 'anime'...

The "anime" look that was started with Zombie Island got even worse with this movie. Thankfully the makers realized that and did a huge 180 with Alien Invaders. I was very afraid that it would get progressively worse with each new movie, because it had gotten worse with this movie (Witch's Ghost). I suppose it happened because the makers left too much to the Asian in-betweeners. Some of the auxiliary characters look like something directly out of Speed Racer.

There is something very good about this movie though, in that it has a much more mysterious plot and a darker feel. I enjoyed that about this film and Zombie Island. However, I didn't enjoy that parts of the movie played like a Wicca propaganda movie.

The Goblin King was a pretty nice return to form. It had real supernatural elements, but also stayed true to the tried and true formula. The animation in Goblin King was very good, and vibrant, and the voice acting was top notch. I hope they continue to produce great films like Goblin King.

I don't know about anime really as I've hardly seen any. But the thing that let it down for me was the fact that Casey Kasem didn't voice Shaggy. I still liked it though.
