no biggie just wanted to knw maybe it means something in wiccan or maybe they just dnt like water?

reply

Haha, yeah I noticed that also. Thats the song they sing through out the movie, I dont think the lyrics ever change. And I am Wiccan, and it is definetly not anything like that, lol. I think it just flowed better, so who ever wrote the songs just put that in. Thats what I would think happen anyway. I cant be 100% positive though, you would have to ask a producer why.

Yeah, they're missing water and heart. With your powers combined I am Captain Planet!

reply

I myself have been wondering that since I got the DVD of this movie. Ever since then, I keep flipping channels at certain times of the days and somehow watch infomercials about music.

I'm sure it's not a Wiccan thing. Maybe they don't like water. Who knows? But so far, I'm assuming the person who wrote that song took water out for a purpose or two.
One -- the song would sound pretty funny of you were singing it "Earth, wind, fire and water." My father's side of the family is pretty musical, and recently I found out that if you listen to any song at all, the verses have the same beat and notes and the choruses have their own same beat and notes. So, water was basically taken out because it doesn't go with the beat and gives an extra syllable. (Find that out on your own.)
Or two -- The crew probably didn't want to get sued by a musical band named "Earth, Wind, & Fire." Check that band out, by the way. They did some awesome music in their time.

Think about it. Water doesn't rhyme very well with 'care' unlike air does now does it?

Jackson Rippner: "So, what are the odds... wait, you're not stalking me are you?"

reply

They could have done "Water, earth, fire, and air..."

Maybe people thought that water didn't sound as cool enough as earth, fire, and wind/air.

reply

"Earth, fire, water and air" would flow virtually the same as "Earth, wind, fire and air." I've always thought the lyrics such as they are seem a bit redundant and incomplete.

reply

True. I think I realized that a few seconds after I posted my first reply on this thread.

"PHENOMENAL COSMIC POWERS! Itty-bitty living space!" -- Genie

reply

Yeah. They could've even fit "water" in place of "wind." How curious that they didn't realize these other options. :/ Love the song anyway, though.

Just what I was thinking. What's wrong with Earth, Water, Fire and Air? They slighted my birth element.😡
