I agree. When Harrelson's character dominated in the first round, I thought the movie was going to try something different by showing the effect on their friendship when one was clearly the superior fighter who went on to fight a title match while the other had to relive the humility of another career-ending first-round TKO.

But then when Bendares' character came out swinging in round two, I could see the ending coming from a mile away. Predictable and boring.

Well yeah, you knew that he wasn't going to let some no name fighter get a title shot.
