Woody's politics a black eye on this servicable film.
For starters, I really enjoyed this movie and I enjoy Woody Harrelson as an actor, but he went a little too far with his personnal politics in this one. In the scene when Woody is in the public restroom right before he sees Jesus, you clearly see written on the wall, "Free Mumia". For those who don't know "Mumia"(I can't remember his full name) was a member of a political movement called Free(I think) and is on death row for killing a policeman.(There is a lot to this story which I either can't remember or won't go into) but the bottom line is this man murdered a cop in cold blood and has a bunch of celebrities rallying to his cause(Ed Asner and the guy who played Alan Alda's friend in MASH along with Harrelson to name a few). This disturbs me. Of all the causes to get behind, these people get behind a cop killer, and not only that but Harrelson uses one of his movies as a medium to do so. How unethical is that?
