Movie makes me Cry for Dre

I cried especially for Dre. He was innocent and didn't know anything about Gang Life. I hate that piece of shyt Aryan Brother,Graffiti, who raped and tormented him. It's too bad that other piece of shyt corrupt cop killed him after he stabbed Graffiti.

This was such a well made movie and inspired so many emotions in me.

That was sad.

yeah it's like they just let everybody run wild. Only the strong survive. Nobody cares either because the consensus is, "well prison isn't supposed to be easy, you deserve what you get in there. If ya can't do the time, don't do the crime". I know prison isn't supposed to be easy, but does that mean somebody should have to go through a life of pure hell? They may as well have just executed the kid and made it easier for him.

Yeah I even cried today when I'd just watched this morning, I mean Dre was innocent, he has a good family. I agreed about Graffiti, I never liked him as a character, he reminded me of his punk ass from New Jersey Drive Movie.

i felt real bad for Dre too. he was really a good kid. he seemed more emotional and vulnerable to the whole prison life..its even more sad already knowin that he wouldnt make it through the movie. from the time he got raped u already knew he would get murdered somehow..

I know all of you were jumping up and down goin' "Hell yeah!! Hell yeah!!" when Dre started beating down Graffiti's punk ass.
Too bad Graffiti's punk ass buddies had to show up right when Dre started wailing on him.

reply

haha I'm laughing becuase it's true. I wated Dre to beat his ass so bad. But I knew it was coming for him and I still cried. Always do. Just like in Prison Song.

I shed a few tears for Dre, that was awful what happened to him. Honestly, I wouldn't be able to last as long as he did, I would probably end my life quickly if I was in that situation.

The scariest thing to me about prison is that you are never the same when/if you are released.

I cried for Dre during that scene that was hard to watch and I'm a female. I find it funny how Avery went in there fighting, the other guy with the afro puffs (keep forgetting his character name) came in there fighting too, but poor Dre he was just trying to be nice I thought he would know to fight as well. In the beginning Dre seemed like he was so hood like he knew the streets or whatever or was hardcore, but in prison wow I just didn't expect that to happen to him.

reply

Yes and that rape scene made me wince. He tried to fight that bastard off but he was overpowered.

I remember I saw this movie when I was seventeen and was deeply disturbed for about a week after watching it because I know there's a lot of men like Dre in real life getting raped in prison.
