You're entitled to your opinion, and not to be way disrespectful to you, but regarding your quote or at least a part of it anyway. "A great adventure story begging to be lavishly redone" I'd say, Uh...........NO! Let's hope better things that this movie ever get lavishly redone, whether they're begging for it or not.
