I was just wondering in the role of Kathyrn, who do you guys think did better between Amy Adams and Sarah Michelle Gellar. In my opinion I think my gal Ms Adams was better...she played Kathyrn to the bone. She was so coniving, sinister and yes sexy as hell. Well thats just my opinion what do you guys think?

I think SMG kicked ass as Kathryn. I think she did so much better. Not that Amy did a bad job, I just think SMG was a better Kathryn.
Plus I hated CI2 but absolutly loved CI (the first one)

hahaha not another teen movie is piss funny, i suppose she was a good katherine, but probably only if you're a very horny lad;) lol ummm SMG was df be4tter, but the other katherine didnt do a bad ob, the again the 1st one is sooooooooo much better than the secon, so perhaps if the roles had been reveresed she would of beeen equally as good.best thing SMG was in, better cast, better storyline-I love the 1st film!
i think the whole family in not another teen movie was funnier, especially when Jake's dad sets him up with his own mom hahaha.. but anyway, i think you're asking the wrong question here. the better kathryn has to be SMG because all kathryn number 2 and sebastian number 2 did was imitate the characters SMG and ryan phillipe created. its like saying who does a better alex trebec character, alex trebec or will farrell? i think the question you are asking is "do you think that adams did SMG justice, or was she just not up to par".. my opinion is that given the low quality of the movie in the first place, i think adams did a great job of imitating the character that SMG created

shareI watched the original Cruel Intentions first, then the second one, then the third one, so I am probably biased. But personally, I thought that only the first Intentions had any depth to it. The second and third had very little plot, the cast was no where near as good, and I was very disappointed since Cruel Intentions used to be my favourite movie. So in my opinion, Sarah Michelle Gellar was tons better than whoever was in the second movie. She wasn't even that amazingly hot to be honest - not saying she's ugly but nothing approaching the quality of Sarah Michelle Gellar.

All Amy Adams was doing was trying to play SMG's part the same way she did it... you can tell she even worked on SMG facial expressions. It's like an actor portraying a real person in a made for TV movie.

The movies? Of course part 1 was better. There has never been a sequel/prequel better than an original.
But as actresses, which is what the question was, by the way: Amy Adams is easily a better actress. Watch Junebug. SMG could -never- pull off a performance like that.
Well Godfather 2 or Empire Strikes Back were arguably better than the originals.
But, yes, I agree with you. Amy is a much better actress than Sarah.
