Does anyone know if Tara did eventually find out she was invited to that party all along because i havn't seen the film in ages and was curious?

From what you see in the film, no. But there is one scene at one of the later hockey games before the cup final, where you can see Tara in the crowd with a friend. So you can assume they made up.

In the director's commentary on the special edition DVD, the director says that she does indeed get invited to the party and has a good time.

Thank you for clearing that up. I was worried she would never get invited. Which of course would have been a huge tragedy.
