I'm a little late, but, I'm confused!!

What's up with Craig saying in the beginning when he's getting into his dad's truck, he says, "I didn't want to leave my neighborhood at all... especially my homeboy Smokey. But he went to rehab LAST MONTH. And the way he smoke, ain't no tellin when he gettin out. Sure gonna miss him." But I thought all that stuff had happened supposedly the Friday before this 2nd movie [Next Friday], was that right, was it last month and not last Friday or was that a mistake in the movie? Am I wrong or what???? Thanks to whoever may clear this up for me!

Ummm...I think that's a mistake. I watched the behind the scenes on the dvd and Ice Cube explains that the movie is indeed set 4 years after the first friday,because if you recall Dbo was in jail for that long. Maybe they just didnt' pay attention to that in the script. Hope that helps.

Well, Smokey said he was going to rehab but he probably procrastinated and finally went after 4 years.

Some how the Friday they refer to is only once a month, still not sure why. Day Day even says in this 'I broke up with her 2 Fridays ago, it was 2 months ago we split and..." or something along those lines.

Dunno if it's the last Friday of the month or what, but somehow they're only referring to one Friday a month. So I can only assume it's been a month based on that. Because didn't Deebo break out of prison? I don't think he served his 4 years, but I don't remember the beginning of this movie specifically...

"You didn't like this movie? Go watch [insert completely opposite movie] instead"

At the end of Friday Smokey says he going to rehab then he smokes a Jay so he didnt really go then so he probaly decided to actually go later on.

Next Friday is only in reference to the title of the movie aka a sequel. this movie never says everything takes place literally a week later. Think about it? How could Dana (Craig's sister) move out in a week? In the first Friday she was still in high school. It literally says Deebo went to Jail for 4 years (I think).
