Whats interesting is, by Chris Tucker not joining further Friday films he actually got his character arc that he wanted as a positive role model. Since Chris is Christian, he didnt want to promote foul language and drug use. He got tired of kids coming up to him asking to smoke weed. By him not appearing in the films, when Smokey was brought up, Ice Cube said "Yea he went off to rehab". And him never coming back can mean that rehab worked and he changed his life around and got out of the "hood". So its pretty interesting when you think of it like this.
Its great that he kept trying to improve himself and his station in life. We got more hit movies (Rush Hour 1 & 2) for him making the decision to not return : )
