Meeting people IS easy!

Meeting people really is easy! Just try it!
I saw Grant's film at the Bloor Cinema in down town Toronto with a full house of radiohead fans. The funny thing was, it was played on a video projector from the DVD!
The next week I won the full Radiohead library at Kid-A's listening party (presented in I-MAX at a local theater!!) So now I've watched the film a couple of times.
Thom says there wa juast as much footage of them having fun as there was not, but that's not the film they wanted to make. Figures...

i thought it was good, a little focused on OK, Computer, which is ok, but i wanted to know how Radiohead's experience with this album different to that of say The Bends

i was a bit disappointed with com lag to be honest, although fog (again) and the original mix of i will are amazing, so it's alright.

reply

i'm happy cos i actually bought my copy of 'com-lag' in japan as soon as it came out, so i got it way before most people. to be honest though, i'm not a big fan of 'hail to the theif'. i prefer 'the bends' and 'ok computer'.
by the way, with concern to 'kid A'. is it more like 'ok computer' or 'hail to the theif'?

What's On My Stereo...?

kid a is more like hail to the thief i'd say, it's more focused on experimental electronical tracks. it's got some tracks with conventional guitars and stuff, but they don't really sound that much like ok computer did. it's a great album, anyway.

as for "meeting people is easy", i liked it but disliked the fact that the dvd had no subtitles or chapters.

Kid A is just as much like OK Computer as it is to HttT. I don't believe any album is like another.

"Hey guys! Oh, Big Gulps, huh? Alright. Welp, see ya later!"

reply

I believe that HTTT is a mixture of OK computer, kid a & Amnesiac.

The probability of someone watching you is proportional to the stupidity of your action.

What did you think about the remix of Myxomatosis by Christian Vogel? I LOVE it!

THIS IS THE WORST THING FILMED!!!
I saw this at the Cinematheque last night.
Not to mention the fact that the movie we were supposed to see was Teenage Kicks about The Undertones!
We started at about 15 people and when the movie ended only 8 were still there!!!
It was sooooo bl000000dy boring!!!
Jeez!
And no subtitles!
Thom Yorke sounds like a disabled kid anyway, so I can't even get a subtitle to know what the h3ll he's saying?!
I LOVE Radiohead.
One of the best bands ever.
All this movie did for me was:
A) Bore.
B) Anger.
C) Lost much of my respect to the group (I didn't like them posing for pop-stardom and all that cr4p).
Horrible, simply horrible!

Good Doco. I saw it about 6 months ago and I enjoyed it a lot. A bit tedious at times but hey that's no biggie.

I've got all of their albums (even Pable) and listen to them on a regular basis especially 'Amnesiac'. It remains my favourite Radiohead record of all time. 'Pyramid Song' is just the most amazing song... If you close your eyes you can actually see people building the pyramids. I managed to pick up the special edition of 'Amnesiac' which is a softcover book with extended artwork and the infamous 'No Such Library" card. Great little package.

I don't know about the US release, but the UK DVD transfer is horrendous. I know it was released in the early days of DVD, but the picture is unacceptably murky. Even the VHS is clearer!
