Better Series: Scream or Final Destination?

I LOVED both series, even though FD4 was a little disappointing and some parts of Scream 4 were a little disappointing, I still enjoyed this Scream more than FD4. As a whole series, which did you prefer? Scream or Final Destination?

I prefer the Scream franchise.

I like the Final Destination films story a lot more and I'm not a big fan of the Scream movies. They're more like violent comedies than horror imo. I kind of liked Scream 4 but I loved Final Destination 1 and 2,and the 3rd was pretty good.

Scream has built characters, an awesome story, great humour, well done tension and good acting.

Final Destination has stereotypes that are usually hated, an awesome story which isn't elaborated on enough to become interesting, no scares and bad acting, and is sometimes laughably bad.

Scream Franchise = 8/10
Final Destination = 5/10

Final Destination.

Both franchises are solid, but Final Destination is a true breath of fresh air and offers a fasinating concept with a deep mythology scattered throughout the series. Although the films dipped in quality come TFD, it's an otherwise prolific and fantastic supernatrual thriller franchise which in my opinion defines young horror fans of the last ten years alike to how Friday the 13th captured teenagers 20 or so years ago.

Final Destination films are solidly produced and present a stunning array of talent and skill, with a degree of effort and man hours put in unlike any other franchise today. The scripts are well written and witty, with occasionally fantastic peformances to carry them. I love the Scream franchise, but Final Destination is and always will be my favourite without a doubt. I've been apart of the fanbase since I was 12 and it's extremely close to my heart. Don't regret a second.
