Tony todd's character...

Who was he supposed to be? To me it feels like he was actually death himself talking to the characters. Anybody else ever get that vibe from him?

reply

I thought that too until FD 2 when he told Clear and the other two something about being given life after death and having a clean slate.

reply

Death incarnate. Do fear the Reaper.

My guess is that he's like a servant to Element Death. In my mind, the Six Prime Elements - Love, Time, Nature, Death, Fate, and Darkness - all have infinite subordinates(All six hold powers surpassing God Himself, exist but not taking any corporeal shapes). And Bludworth was probably one of Element Death's.

The Harbinger!

He was definetely Death itself, OP. He knew way too much about all of them. Alex and Kimberly didn't even tell him their names and he knew them by name.

reply

^^ This. He also says to Alex "I'll see you soon"

reply

Doesn't mean he's death, he just means he'll see them soon on his slab in the mortuary.

reply

Well, if he thought her name was Kimberly, he apparently knew nothing about them. Because her name was in fact Clear.

reply

@koffeenkreame41-1 you're right he also knew too much about them right when he first met them.

reply

Maybe he was Death, but maybe he was connected to God or the 'good side,' whatever it was that which gave the characters the premonitions and signs.

reply

That's also a possibility. Koffee has a point though he knew them by name and knew a lot of information about them without them even telling them. It's an interesting theory.

reply

I doubt he was death, he was way too helpful. And I don't believe he would be able to take the shape of a human. Obviously the idea was that, as a mortician, he knew more about death than anyone else.
