Did anyone else find this scene heartbreaking and touching?

Just their faces made it heartbreaking for me.

Yes, and get them she did. If only Erin Brockiovich could be get stuck on BP nowadays the same way she did on PG &E.

This is the most powerful scene in the film for me. The compassion that Erin expresses to her clients—the way she’s “in it” with them—is what impresses me most about Roberts’s performance.

Agreed. This scene and the scene where Donna realizes she has been lied to and pulls her girls out of the pool. Both women pull these scenes off beautifully.

@Amethyst20 Reminded me of a similar scene in The Untouchables, with Elliot Ness and the mother of the girl who got killed with the bomb.

They're good scenes, as they drive home that the protagonist has a reason to succeed.
