Yes it is, if you see it in later scenes it has primer on the side where she was hit. It doesn't ever look like she had it painted, but there was that grey primer.

I'd like to know how they filmed that scene. From the time she gets in the car to the accident there's no cut. How'd they do it? Julia Roberts wasn't in that car when it got hit.
