How old were you when you first watched this?

And do you think the same of it as you did back then?

reply

I was 10 when I first watched it (I'm 21 now) and I thought it was amazing when I watched it back then as a kid. It's stayed with me all these years and after watching it again recently, it still seemed just as good.

Around 16 or 17 I think.
Am 28 now.

I was 12 (now 23) and still like the series. Wished it was out on dvd.

I was 9 going on 10, I remember watching it with my mum, and it haunted me...I liked it, it remained embedded in my memory. Years later I could only remember snippets slightly distorted. I recalled the hungry dogs, people pairing up romantically, a woman dieing because of her foolish son, a pyre, but I also remember a sequence which doesn't exist.

I watched it this year, it all came back to me, still haunted me...and I felt the same way about the ending I did way back when...I never liked the ending. Hild was annoying.

I was 22 when it was first aired on ITV. Watched it in one go again a few years ago and thought it was as good as before..

I was 10. I'm 23 now. I have a fond memory of it, and I'm afraid of shattering that memory if I watch it now.

38 when I first watched it - 51 now.
Still works for me.

DVD? You wish.

I was 33 and 6 months pregnant when I started watching in April '99.

We watched episodes 1 & 2 last night with our son, he's 14.

Still love it....and the best part? So did he!

bonny-hoffman -

Truly, it rocks when parent & child enjoy the same film/tv programme.

I'm 52 & my mother is 79 - we still watch films/tv programmes together, when we meet up.

May you & your son do likewise

I was 11/12. I actually thought I was younger than that until I saw what date it was broadcast just now. At the time I thought it was great but watching on Youtube not long ago not as good as I remembered. Still okay though and interesting to watch again.
