Well I don't agree with you, Company was a superior movie in terms of its content compared to what is churned out of Bollywood, but Satya in 1998 raised the bar for action/drama movies made in India. I do not think Company reached up there, it slows down in the middle, the ending was a bit dull, it could have been better. With Satya, it was powerful all through. The ending leaves a mark in one's memory for years.

Satya and Company are slightly different in terms of plot. Yes the them of inner gang rivalry is existent but style and treatment differ between the two. Company had a very different approach in directing in comparison to Satya.

I disagree. Satya irrefutably remains a classic. Company might have nuances of real life mafia, but Satya has the right essence. While Company at times fumbles with the trees, Satya faithfully shows the forest of the story.
Cheers!

Satya will always remain a classic. It actully began the trend of mafia movies and inspired many directors to make a movie on the genre. But I have to be honest and say that everything about the movie is so perfect that it does not stand a chance of being remade.

Firstly its a bit of a joke when you say Company is more realistic than Satya. There was a noticeable commercial aspect about Company.Satya was raw and blunt and without cinematic liberties.
It changed the way Hindi movies were made.Satya was frankly one of the first movies where Urdu Hindi wasn't implemented in dialogues. It didn't make any excuses nor took any easy way outs in the story.Nor did it have your 'tapori' dialogues to impress your first-benchers.And it was one of the most perfect and honest representations of Mumbai Mafia.

I am sorry if the production vales didn't appeal your eyes.

It will remain as a classic for many years to come. Many directors use it as a source of inspiration and referral point for their movies. However 'Company' was in a different league. The direction was more stylish and enriched. Plus they shot abroad in Nairobi and Hong Kong. So I guess this gave the more a higher appeal.
