I think not. Do the math . In one decade that is 3500 women. Approximately 1 woman a day. Ok he threw in he has had multiple lovers in one day, but still. This was just not believable. The fact was he was a head master at a school and that requires lots of time. He was not a porn star. Throw in the fact that meeting the protagonist , he seemed to be spending his sex time with her. I would presume there were other women he would have devoted much of his free time . Also, the Wilt Chamberlain with 20,000 women was found to be a myth.
