i'm vegan, and yet, incongruously, i am accepting of hunting as a legitimate sport. when i was 8 or so, i visited friends of the family in north texas and was taken on a hunting expedition. i was taught to shoot, shot at quail (it was claimed that i had the "winning" -i.e. killing- shot, but given how adults treat youth, i would be surprised if, of all the people on the hunting party, my shot was the onbe that downed the bird) we also shot at dear, and someone in our party killed it and that night i ate venison for the first time (i couldn't reconcile the warmth of cooked meat with the concept of body temperature and the whole experience may be why i am vegan to this day.) all that being said, much as i *love* animals, i am vegan primarily for environmental reasons (acres of rainforest being decimated by mcdonalds every day) and *every* life depletes our natural resources, there may come a point where hunters become the good guys again...
drink up, you've got business to attend to.
