I was just wondering how many people figured out what movie Tracey Ullman's character was talking about in the movie. The movie Alex and her saw on their first date (with Billy Crystal and Gregory Hines).

I didn't figure it out. I knew the answer from the beginning. I was confused, though. Did they say they went to see the movie, or did they say they rented the movie? Because if they went to see it, it would have been in 1986. Which would mean that they were together for an awfully long time before "Sammy came along", or however it was that she stated it. Which doesn't make sense, because the way she said it, sounded (to me, that is) like they met, they saw the movie and then Sammy happened. Do you get what I'm saying? Anyway...............

I knew right away it was "Running Scared." I probably couldn't remember the stars of a movie in theaters this week, but I do know the '80s.
shareYea, i knew it also .. i was living in Key West when they filmed that part of the movie,in fact i worked right next door (Half Shell Raw Bar) to the bar (Turtle Kraals) that they bought in the film , and used to see them filming in the parking lot..
