One Yank who liked it.

I know all you Brits will tell me to shove it up my bum, but there are indeed football, or soccer (and we did get the word from YOU) fans in this country. I enjoyed this film because of McCoist, GO RANGERS, he does have some acting skill. Maybe he won't get an Oscar, but he was believable. Duvall may not nail a Scottish brogue, but let's see you try talking like a Yank for weeks on end and not have your accent get in there.
Above all, it was great to see the football played more like it ought to be. We're trying in the US with Major League Soccer (MLS), and Brits who visit may laugh at us, BUT WE ARE TRYING.

well I'm drinking wine and eating cheese and catching some rays, y'know

I thought this movie was pretty awful, but has there ever been a good football (soccer) movie? It's impossible to do the sport justice on the big screen, in my humble opinion. The one thing I'll say on behalf of "A Shot At Glory" is that, unlike the utterly putrid "Victory," it didn't try for the "sweeping epic" angle only to fail miserably. But Duvall's accent was grating, the magnificent Brian Cox was woefully underused, and that long-legged blue-eyed beauty who played McCoist's wife never showed her goodies. Pity.

To all the gers fans having a go at celtic, I'm a Dee fan at heart but in the last week I watched the Tangerines punt you out of the cup and then yesterday you got pumped 4-1 from St Johnstone. Go TAYSIDE!

I bet Walter's boys were hobbling back to Glesga haudin' ice-filled donut cushions on their arses.

With your feet in the air and your head on the ground, try this sig with spinach!

I think we all know who the laughing stock of Scottish football is now.
