Tricked into watching this?

So an old coworker told me this was a great film. In the past we have exchanged movies and I kind of respect his opinion. Well he let me borrow this VHS, yes VHS. I watched it, came out indifferent. Soon after I returned it I noticed it in the work trash bin. He had thrown it away! Did he try to make me watch a crappy movie on purpose? I have a feeling he did. I think he knew this was a bad movie and, for whatever reason, wanted me to suffer through it as well. Is that not just mean? I would never do that to someone, other then casually recommend Salo, Cannibal Holocaust, or The Human Centipede.

I love it too! And I had to read this post to make sure the poster wasnt talking about me! I recommended this to two of my co workers, but on NETFLIX, not VHS. (I do have it on VHS somewhere. Recorded it a few years ago.)
What a great independent film!

It's pretty horrible but it is so unique it bears watching (once). Especially for a really low-budget indie film.

I always tell people it's the funniest movie ever made, and most people watch it and agree.

I've never heard my grandpa -- a cold, evil man for the most part -- laugh in my entire life except when watching this film. 26 years went by before I heard the dude laugh. He laughed at the part when the old guy in this said "YOU SOUND LIKE A KADAFFHI COMMUNIST AYATOLLAH OTHIEP.. ETHIAPIAN MOTHER F!CKER."
