A not-so-funiest home video?

Honestly, if this was made by an unknown author everyone would have shrugged his shoulders, it’s more of a not-so-funniest home video’s, but just because it is from the one and only mr Lynch it must have some deeper meaning that no one can see, yet. Blinded by the mr-Lynch-light they’re even willing to swallow this meaningless piece.
I found this clip because I was curious about mr Lynch’s early works and was suprised to hear the same pathetic way of speaking, chanting almost, as he uses in the years thereafter starting with Eraserhead as far as I can discover. What is it with mr Lynch that even this could escape the depths of oblivion?

2) What IS the meaning? It doesn't seem to me like it has one, but I haven't seen it...

the deeper meaning is, that it sucks...

Lynch is a great director, but all of his early shorts are just meaningless crab...

okay, then what's the deeper meaning in Eraserhead? or would you say it sucks as well?
yes, this short doesnt have that clear idea, that's obvious, but it's...like expressionism. just gives you emotions and feeling.
but one can notice (if really stick to the idea of finding some exact deeper meaning) that she's absoutely indifferent what's going on with her body, like it's not her body at all, like after the injure she doesnt have any body, she's fully in her letter, friends etc

I'm sure this does have a deeper meaning, but there is something you should remember... This was just used to sample a few yards of black and white tape. It wasn't really meant to be taken all that seriously. (However, I do think its the worst of ALL his short films.)

I disagree the 6 people being sick 6 times was the worst....never seen anything so bad!....yet anyway : )

Someone on YouTube said that the meaning is that "Love cuts your limbs off" or something like that. Makes sense when you watch it.

The meaning is it's funny. Some bland drama about a woman her relationships set against the fact she is a double leg amputee oblivious to the nurse as she is so wrapped up her nonsense.

David Lynch made two versions of this with different types of film. It was an experiment of sorts.
