The losers, burnouts, outcasts, druggies, etc... Were they as stupid and loathsome for there era as SJWs are now?
I don't see these types as the as the "high school nerds who end up millionaires" types since they seem more likely to end up like Mr. Fleck than the CEO of Microsoft. For some reason I think that SJWs are the children of these types of people which would essentially make them the equalivent of SJWs for their generation.
Depends which character you are talking about. Lindsay is obviously a SJW. On the other hand, Ken is more like the person who would troll a SJW just to get a reaction out of them. In general though I would say that the freaks were for the most part not social justice warriors. Not sure about the geeks.

shareThere were no political activists in my high school in the 80's.
There were groups, nerds, jocks, etc. but mainly because they had common interests. I don't recall any major bullying going on, I do remember a couple of strange characters, but in middle school. The "hoods", as we called them, not freaks, seemed to keep to themselves, completely disinterested in school, but there was crossover socializing between all the groups, especially at parties the older we got.
I related more to Dazed and Confused than to this or The Breakfast Club.
Same thing here. No sjw political activists in my high school either.. I graduated class of 98 and we had jocks, Stoners/metalheads, EMOs, nerds, and the gang banger types.. do these types of clicks still exist in high school or is it different?
