What the heck did I just watch again?
Good grief. This movie didn't make any damn sense. You got Usher playing a texas ranger. Then you got a scene loaded with emotion where the dying captain talks about how he is leaving his books on military strategy and his guns to the new guy. Next thing you know, we see this military strategy in action when the team sneaks up on sleeping bandits who outnumber the good guys. After sneaking up close to them the captain decides it's time to show his tactical genius and says "It's time to wake them up" and the crew start shooting their six shooters in the air and make sure everyone is alerted. Well, you sit there thinking that now you must've seen the dumbest scene this movie has to offer. Think again, then we get to see the new guy (Van Der Beek) sneak up on the bad guy and he has his gun aimed at the bad guy. For no reason whatsoever VanderBeek suddenly does a swan dive towards the bad guy and shoots him in mid-air. There is no reason at all for the dive since he had the guy in his sights all along. Go figure.
