Pointless

There was NO reason to remake the 1980 Ellen Burstyn film. The film was perfect. It's been 25 years and it still haunts me. Why anyone felt any changes were needed is beyond me. Dana Delaney does an acceptable job but the movie is a waste of time. The original is only available on VHS, which is a good reason not to get rid of your VHS machine.
