It is very sad, I like this kind of movie. I think it's one of the best of Mamoru Oshii.
Um, all aneececolt said was that it was a pretentious film. She(he?) never said anything about any animation. You can't call aneececolt a simpleton or a 'softcore pussie' based on anything in the post.

Jin Roh is a great anime but Oshii best was either GitS or Avalon the Music was great, as for over all anime it maybe could be in the top 15 or 20.
