It's great that Merzer managed to get a movie made that doesn't feel formulaic and is honest about Hollywood's lack of creativity. The fact that ENEMIES also plays out as a romantic story only further enhances the film. Both themes blend together well which is no easy feat. I found the acting topnotch - Paymer really shines in this role. Looking forward to future screenplays by Merzer that get made.
