What would have been good storylines?

Some ideas:

I saw somewhere that someone thought that a Ethan/Whitney pairing would have been interesting.

Gwen and Hank

I think it would have been hilarious if Ethan and Rebecca hooked up.

The conclusion of who poisoned Alistair's cigar?

I wanted Chad to be Julian's son but not with Eve. Someone new. The 2 characters had a weird bond but not a brotherly bond. Also Chad going gay and then dying was lame.

Liz and Antonio fall in love and leave and go back to the island.

Noah and Fancy stayed together. Their later pairings lacked chemistry to me.

Shuis forever!

More Fox and Theresa!

If Spike had been Julian and Eve's kid. I had heard about that somewhere. It would have been interesting to see how they'd try to rehabilitate him.

If Grace had come back from Italy and not be killed. Would have been interesting to see a showdown with her and those involved in the lies. Though I would love to see Sam reject her after her choosing someone else over him! Jessica should have been killed off instead. She added nothing to the show.

If Fox hadn't turned into such a pu$$y.

Sheridan got her baby right after the whole Charlie over the bridge thing. Seriously, could the woman ever catch a break? In order to be fans of a couple or characters I feel like we need to see them at their best or happy sometimes. Sheridan just became a victim and then evil after a while.

If Katherine had actually been dead just like in Hidden Passions. It was a waste to bring her and Martin in to the show to just disappear all of a sudden. Plus her death was supposed to be the driving force behind Alistair's hatred of his daughter. His motive for wanting her dead didn't make any sense after that. He almost turned into a cartoon villain after that.

Martin came back but not drop off canvas and had a real reason for having left.

What else?

Forgot about what happened with Grace's past and her amensia. I would want to know what Ivy had on David. Also what about Charity's father?

Pilar should have had a better story than about her rape. What about a new love?

Chad turning bi-sexual was perhaps the worst storyline on the show, and I feel embarrassed for the actor. It seemed like a very poorly put together storyline seeing how both the gay characters on the show had been together with each other at one point being Chad and Simone. The whole Vincent storyline was one of the sickest twisted stories in daytime alone. Imagine if Passions was still on how much lower they would have gone.

Chad's bisexuality really isn't that far fetched, nor is Simone's lesbianism. Think about it, Simone never really was all that boy-crazy like Kay or Theresa. Like many gay/lesbian individuals, she probably tried to be straight and figured Chad to be the best option. Notice how after the whole Whitney-Chad-Simone triangle ended, Simone never really dated. I think she tried something with Reese, but even that seemed like something she wasn't fully invested in. Her path to discovering her sexuality is honestly an echo of many other LGBT individuals. Same with Chad. Sure, his exploits with Vincent were the first time we saw this side of him, but who's to say he didn't engage in his bisexual-nature before meeting Whitney? I believe the whole reason he turned back to men was because he realized there was only one woman for him, Whitney. So, what's so unbelievable about that? Yes, Vincent being a hermaphrodite was a bit of a stretch of the imagination but you've gotta admit it was very original and unique and full of entertainment value. Besides, if you're really a fan of Passions, it should already be basic knowledge that this show was far from normal and that's what made it great.

He wasn't bi. He didn't understand why he slept with Vincent.

You didn't like Pilar's rape storyline? I thought it was very well written and full of a lot of emotional stuff. Plus, it introduced us to Juanita. I agree she should've had a new romance, but I wouldn't change the rape storyline. It was finally a meaty storyline for Pilar.

Wasn't Chad married to a woman named LaToya who came to Harmony from California? I think she ended up hurting Whitney causing her to not be able to play tennis anymore. I can understand Simone being a lesbian but not really Chad. Plus the main reason Simone became a lesbian was because Alistair paid Rae to seduce her it would have been better if Rae was never paid by Alistair. But if the storyline with Vincent wasn't so poorly done maybe I would have respected it more or maybe have Chad with a more attractive man. The whole Vincent storyline really made me just stop watching as much and there was no way I was going to actually get Direct TV to follow the show. Lol I knew it was on tooth and nails by then seeing how the ratings fell as low as 1.0. But the show over all just lost so much of its charm. Sure Passions was off-beat and that's one of the things I liked about it, but by 2006 it was just running low on steam.

I agree I wish Pilar actually found a good man. Heck, I wasn't a fan of Sam but it would have been great if they got together, Instead of Sam with Ivy. I mean Sam was a pretty stupid man yes because he actually got with a woman who ruined his happy marriage causing her for years to think that she married to David Hastings because she had amnesia.

Ethan and Theresa, I'll just leave them alone I never cared for them. The best this show did do was have Julian and Eve together. I wish they could have married in the end.

I would have loved to see Ethan get a "Gibbs slap" every time he realized Theresa was telling the truth and when gwen lied/tricked him. Yes Theresa lied and played games but when ever she did the truth came out and was punished, she lost ethan, etc...

You realize Theresa and Gwen were BOTH crazy right? The way I see it NEITHER of them deserved the guy.

reply

The guy in this situation (Ethan) didn't deserve anyone either. What a punk-ass b*itch that guy was!

Why do they call 'em soap operas anyway? Those things are FILTHY!----Fred Sanford

I agree! I liked Ethan. but he was no prize and he was so weak too. I wish that Gwen would have gotten with 1st Hank and told Ethan goodbye and that he wasn't worth it. I also agree that Liz and Antonio should have ended up together. Sheridan never loved him. She cared and settled for him because she didn't want to hurt him and she couldn't have Luis.

I had read that Beth was supposed to be playing bad Sheridan and she kept the real Sheridann locked away somewhere. They were supposed to do a revelation about that and Sheridan and Luis were supposed to get back together, but the actress that played Beth didn't want to come back, so they kept Luis with Fancy. I read that both Galen and McKenzie wanted Luis and Sheridan together. Sheridan still shouldn't have ended up with Antonio. She didn't love him. She cared about him. 2 different things. I think that they did that so all of Pilar's kids could have somebody. I still say that Antonio should have ended up with Liz.

I stopped watching the show shortly after Josh Ryan Evans died. I was turned off by the fact that JER actually had the nerve to replace Josh's iconic character with the two lame doll characters. It was obvious that JER didn't know what to do with Tabitha's character after Josh's death. What he should have done when Josh died was kept Zombie Charity as a sidekick for Tabitha like it was appearing. They should have kept the supernatural element of the show on the front burner bringing Grace back to confront Tabitha over Faith's murder. They wasted so much potential with Tabitha's character and Grace. Dragging out storylines for the whole run of the show and ruining fan favorite couples killed this show with the viewers.
