What did he say on Monday's show?

For some reason, I thought they were in rerun and missed the first 15 minutes of Monday's episode. How did he tell the audience he was leaving? Did he make jokes about it? Was he serious? Both? I'm bummed I didn't catch it.

Think they'll do a big, retrospective, clip-filled, "best of" show next Friday?
