I know this is probably an oft-asked question, but can anyone tell me the name of the theme music to the programme? It's driving me crazy!

I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel To Be Free.

Been sung by Nina Simone, Lighthouse Family, among others. My favourite version is by Jools Holland. No idea who wrote it, though.

the composer was Billy Taylor. It has been recorded several times and was used in a Coca Cola advert a coupe of years ago!!!

Just got my mums copy of that particular Lighthouse Family album and wow, same song from Coke ads, and I never noticed!
