Sam + Max: Our generation's Dirty Harry and Bugs Bunny

I remember when I first stumbled upon ol' Sam & Max, it was a large Lucas Arts sheath for several of it's games (such as 'Day of the Tentacle', 'Sam & MAx', an Indiana Jones game, and an assload of Star Wars games) I played the first two all the time, Day of the Tentacle was great but sadly being a moronic, nonthinking child (lot has changed) I didn't figure out and beat the game till a few years later when I hauled the Mac it used to run on into my room and I went Jasper version 2.0 on that game, I loved it, and being older I actually got most of the jokes.

I saw the cartoon, once. For about a minute. Possibly on Fox, Sam & Max were chasing after some tiny dudes, not much else I can remember.

I've signed the petition (thought internet petitions mean dick most of the time) for the new game and hope that George Lucas will have the sense to suck the fat out of his neck and to come back to the lightside of the "Lucas Arts" force. Probably wont happen, I still have the CD roms to the games, I've gotten Sam & Max to work on my PC, as well as Day of the Tentacle, why there are still places to buy the two games:

Maybe when George Lucas sees how many copies are bought he'll look at the poster of THX 1138, perhaps a tear'll come to his eye as he remembers the things he did when he was young, grab the "red phone" and order production on the game immediately, but I wouldn't hold your breath.
